Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction

Meridyan B.V. ("Meridyan", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit meridyan.org (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us, and outlines your rights under applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Who we are

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

Meridyan B.V.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
KVK (Chamber of Commerce) 42142200
Email: elie@meridyan.org

3. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and company details, when you contact us, request a demo, or otherwise correspond with us.
  • Usage data — collected automatically when you browse the Site, including pages visited, time spent, click and scroll behavior, referral source, browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/region level).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, financial account, or biometric data) through this Site.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and demo requests
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content
  • Understand how visitors use the Site, to improve usability and performance
  • Comply with legal obligations

Our legal basis for processing is your consent (where required), our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Site, and, where applicable, the steps necessary to respond to your requests prior to entering into an agreement.

5. Cookies and analytics

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioral analytics tool, to understand how visitors interact with the Site. Clarity captures session recordings, heatmaps, and interaction data — such as clicks, scrolls, and navigation patterns — using cookies and similar technologies. Microsoft processes this data as described in Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

Clarity is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set unless you select "Accept" in the analytics notice. If you select "Decline" or make no choice, the Site works exactly the same without analytics. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The data is used solely to measure and improve the Site — it is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.

We store your choice in your browser's local storage for up to 6 months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawal stops analytics and removes Clarity cookies, without affecting processing that took place before.

6. Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf (such as Microsoft, for analytics), under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms
  • Authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Analytics data collected via Microsoft Clarity is retained according to Microsoft's own retention practices.

8. International transfers

Meridyan is incorporated and operates within the European Union, and this Site is built and hosted on EU infrastructure. Where a service provider (such as Microsoft) processes data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data remains protected.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data
  • Request a portable copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at elie@meridyan.org.

10. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

13. Contact us

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at elie@meridyan.org.
